Life Doesn't Matter

I have come to realize life doesn't matter. We live in a global society where we are taught it is OK to believe that others lives are not as worthy as our own. Now when I say taught you know it is not an ifficial curriculum, but nuances that we learn from the time we are born.
In school we learn it is OK to bukky or teade some kids when the teacher turns their back or there is no immediate response, it is OK to pick on them, they do not matter as much. Our parents teach us too. We listen to their conversations about individuals or a group and determine their lives are not as worthy. Politicians rant about a minority and put the blame for all our societal woes on them, they are lesser people. Our churches, synagogues, and mosques voice love and acceptance, then teach us that the ones who follow a different religion are not worthy, will not be "saved" and we should not associate with them lest we be corrupted.
I have listened to people try to set blame for the problems in the world. "Obama brought race relations to a new low." "George Bush is to blame for ISIS." "The Police are the problem", "migrants can' t be trusted." "Muslims want to kill us", "Gays have ruined our culture", "Liberals, Conservatives have caused the problem", "black lives matter", "blue lives matter", "all lives matter."
Not until we can look deep into our selves and our entrenched societal institutions and demand change will anything happen. When we listen to a joke, when we read a post, when we continue sitting in a pew and accept without challenge, then we are the problem. Until we demand change and go out to make it happen then we must accept that we are the reason LIFE DOESN'T MATTER.
