When in Rome.....#pinotgrigio

Being awake for the last 24 hours has its benefits. First, people are forgiving when you are grumpy and second, nobody bothers to differ when you stop in a wine store after touring the Pantheon to pick up something for the room.
Todays guest is a #Pinot Grigio from Sudtirol, Alto Adige. This northern most part of Italy that has been Austrian, German and Italian is  the home to some of the best Pinots.  Whether you chose from the Alto Adige or valley areas you dont go wrong.
Pinot Grigio by definition is light crisp dry and fruity. This perfectly describes this wine.
Succulent citrus notes add the refreshing mouth that lingers for a long time.
The nose was heavy with lemon grass and citrus tones also.
#K Martini and Sons do a fantastic job on this wine and I look forward to enjoying more.
Also, if you are ever in the neighborhood check out the wine store just behind the Pantheon called #Setefi #gregorymauro wines. Great selections and prices.
Look for more from Italy and Greece when I have wifi.
Enjoy
