Ch Garraud

Our second stop was lunch and tasting at Ch Garraud.  We sampled several of their wines from.various chateau and several vintages of each. We were treated too a  Barrel tasting by the head winemaker. Again all of their wines are superb. Mostly merlot base with cab and cab franc to round them out. Soft easy tannins. The 2010 Garraud was rated in. The 90s and was picked by wine spectator as the number 1 wine.  I can honestly say that the 2013 , is going to be better. They also treated us  to a lunch  of fresh items from the area. Cheeses, pates, foi gras, grilled meats, livers, hearts, ham etc, freh breads, a real smorgasbord.  Along with a 1995 Garraud.
