Tonight dinner we had 7 producers smoking their wines. @24 altogether. Ch. Belingard, ch Haute Guillebot,Horeau and Beylot, Cheval Quancard, Ch Belair, Ch La Papeterie Cabanne, Bois Redon. Watch one with b different complexity structure and character. To many to go in to buy I will share my favorite. A 1998 Ch Papeterie. Bold and fruity, smooth silky tannins. A nose of violets. Coffe and tobacco lingering in the background. A wonderfull wine. I must also give notice to the Ch Belingard sauterns. Sweet but not sticky, great with seafood, duck of with desert. One of the pictures is of our table. We have the producer Jean Jaque from Belingard at our table. There were ,9 of us plus him, now count the empty wines. It is shook about good wine, good food, good friends and conversation.
