This last stop of the day was at Ch La Louviere, one estate owned by the Lurton family. The masters of Bordeaux. We samples several if his wines from several estate. Wines from Ch LA louviere, Rochemorin Coucheroy and Cruzeau. Lurton has made his fame and fortune by offering easy to drink now wines from Bordeaux. The red wines are good but lacking in some complexity. The whites though are a different story. Mainly Sauvignon Blanc they are complex fruity dry and sweet. Whites that are able to be cellars for several years. The estate itself is a historical dream. Once saying back to the 12 th century, then rebuilt by monks who lived there until the French revolution. After the revolution it was sold eventually arriving in the Lurton family in the 1920.
